The Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) Steering Committee guides the establishment of priority areas for CCIF and ensures the continued success of CCIF events. CCIF offers Canada’s collision sector—collision repairers, suppliers, insurers, associations, to original equipment manufacturers and educators—exclusive opportunities to discuss and share industry trends and challenges.   

The CCIF Steering Committee is looking to fill the following roles for the 2025-2027 CCIF Steering Committee:  

  • Collision repairer: shop owner/manager (1 seat) 
  • Collision repairer: National/Regional network head office representative (2 seats) 
  • OEM dealer (2 seats) 
  • Supplier (1 seat) 
  • Young leader (1 seat) 
  • Insurer (1 seat) 
  • Educator (1 seat) 
  • Special advisor (1 seat) 

What makes a good Steering Committee member? 

A steering committee member must act in the best interests of CCIF, willingly share their own knowledge and expertise, and be willing and able to devote time and effort to CCIF on a volunteer basis.    

In addition, specific skills that support the goals and strategic directions of CCIF will be considered assets.  

  • Must be an active industry leader.  
  • Must have extensive industry experience and be well-respected among industry stakeholders.   
  • should be seen as an industry influencer and contributor, whose actions indicate that they operate in the best interest of industry as a whole.   
  • Demonstrate previous experience and involvement with CCIF, other industry groups, associations, committees or task forces that could be considered an asset.   

Commitment 

Being a CCIF Steering Committee member comes with significant responsibility. AIA Canada, the Collision Repairers’ Council and the CCIF audience count on the Steering Committee to help establishment of priority areas for CCIF and ensures the continued success of CCIF events 

CCIF Steering Committee members serve a two-year term and must be able to all CCIF conferences each year and be available for six to eight conference calls per year.
