AIA Canada launches online hub to elevate auto care industry in federal election
Ottawa, Ontario, March 17, 2025—With the federal election approaching, AIA Canada has launched a new online hub at autocarevotes.ca, to make it easy for members and auto care industry businesses to make their voices heard regarding top priorities, such as the right to repair. This hub supplies resources for direct communication with candidates in ridings from across the country.
The auto care industry is in a pivotal moment. Members of Parliaments (MPs) and candidates are actively engaging with businesses and residents in their communities, making it the perfect time to advocate for policies that can ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the country’s auto care sector.
With this hub, auto care professionals can get involved and advocate for the industry by contacting or meeting their riding candidates.
Meet your candidates: Autocarevotes.ca provides the tools and support needed to meet candidates and make a lasting impact. Once an introduction is made, including the business name, location, people of employment, and service provided to Canadian consumers, members can access AIA Canada’s talking points, which are designed to guide the conversation with key messages about our requests to the government. This includes supporting the right to repair, combatting auto theft, and addressing labour shortages in the industry.
Write to your candidates: This online hub equips additional resources to ensure that the auto care industry’s voice is heard even further through written letters. Visitors can send candidates a personalized letter drafted by AIA Canada with their signature. Additionally, the site includes a downloadable presentation deck summarizing talking points, policy positions, and guidance on arranging in-person meetings with local candidates to discuss issues pertinent to the auto care sector.
The impact of your participation
We need your help to ensure the priorities of the auto care sector are front and centre during the election campaign. This grassroots initiative is a cornerstone of our election strategy as AIA Canada continues to advocate on behalf of our industry with candidates and political leaders.
You play a crucial role in ensuring those seeking public office understand the importance of our industry. This is your chance to influence the conversation about the future of Canada’s auto care sector and the federal government’s role in supporting our goals.
