AIA Canada has partnered with lead researcher, Rick Nadeau of Quorus Consulting Group and subject matter expert, David Giles of Powered EV Ltd to present a webinar on consumer behavior of Canadian electric vehicle owners.  

This free 60-minute webinar will provide audiences with a compelling story of how small and mid-sized businesses in the auto care industry can further understand and better serve the needs of electric vehicle owners.  

Jean-François Champagne, president of AIA Canada will host this webinar. Rick Nadeau will present the findings from the data while David Giles will explain how to use these findings in a manner that is meaningful and impactful to your business. 

This webinar is based on the findings from the Electric vehicle maintenance and repair: The Canadian owner’s perspective report that looks at the behaviours, attitudes and preferences related to electric vehicle ownership.

Jean-François Champagne, President and CEO | Automotive Industries Association of Canada 

Jean-François (JF) passionately represents the interests of the Canadian auto care sector in his role as president and ceo of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada). Under JF’s leadership, AIA Canada brings together the entire auto care supply and service chain and equips its members with the tools, skills, profile, and knowledge they need to succeed in a fast-paced, competitive landscape. 

Since joining AIA Canada in 2015, JF has focused his efforts on helping guide members and the sector overall on a variety of issues, including electric vehicles (EV), labour sustainability and digital transformation. As a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and a technology visionary, JF leads with a focus on ensuring organizations thrive in the digital age. He is a regular speaker at automotive industry and association-management conferences, where he shares his expertise on the integration of technology in strategic planning to help shape better and stronger organizations. 

 

Rick Nadeau, President | Quorus Consulting Group Inc 

Rick Nadeau is the President and founder of Quorus Consulting Group Inc. His 29 years of experience spans every level of the market research supplier spectrum. Since the fall of 2008, Rick has been running Quorus Consulting Group Inc., a Canadian market research consultancy through which he has designed and managed hundreds of quantitative and qualitative studies for clients in Canada and abroad. 

Rick holds a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Ottawa and an M.B.A. from Queen’s University. 

 

David W. Giles, President | PoweredEV Ltd  

David’s extensive background in the transportation industry and his expertise in the electric vehicle (EV) sector make him a highly knowledgeable figure in the field. With over 30 years of experience, David has seen the evolution of the transportation industry and has adapted his skills to become a leader in consulting and training for EVs. His extensive knowledge is supported by various certifications, including being a Red Seal AST (Automotive Service Technician. Additionally, David’s involvement in multiple boards, including apprenticeship, showcases his commitment to promoting and improving workforce development in the industry. David’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish ALL EV Canada in 2019, which quickly gained traction and was acquired by Steele Auto in 2021. This successful venture attests to his ability to identify opportunities and grow businesses in the EV sector. Currently, David is actively involved with PoweredEV Ltd. and serves as an EV Education Specialist for CONSULAB. This role allows him to continue supporting and driving EV adoption globally, further solidifying his position as an influential figure in the industry. With his wealth of experience, certifications, and commitment to advancing EV technologies, David’s contributions are undoubtedly shaping the future of transportation and sustainability worldwide.
