I-CAR Canada launches Subscription Program to expand training access and accelerate Platinum and Gold Class recognitions
Ottawa, Ontario, March 20, 2025 — I-CAR Canada has introduced a new Subscription Program designed to make collision training more accessible and cost-effective for repair shops across the country. This program exclusively for collision repair shops and insurance companies provides unlimited access to online training for all employees under a single subscription fee, allowing shops the opportunity to efficiently and affordably expand their workforce knowledge.
By enrolling, collision sector businesses can efficiently upskill their workforce while maintaining better control over professional development budgets. The program also supports employees looking to advance into new roles, such as detailers wishing to gain new roles within the collision repair shops, by offering industry-wide and OEM-specific training beyond Platinum-level courses.
How it works
The Subscription Program is an optional offering that requires collision sector businesses to opt in. Those interested must contact I-CAR Canada to begin the onboarding process.
- Fixed pricing: Once a business is enrolled, new employees are automatically included at no extra charge—even during their probation period.
- Discounted webinar, welding and in-person training: Subscribers receive a 10 per cent discount on webinars, in-person hands-on skills development (HOSD) and welding courses, essential to achieve a Platinum or Gold Class recognition.
- Seamless transition: Businesses transitioning from the À la carte model to the Subscription Program will see independent learning (IL) courses automatically included at no cost upon enrollment.
How businesses can join the Subscription Program
Businesses interested in transitioning from the traditional À la carte model to the Subscription Program can email I-CAR Canada at info@i-car.ca, where a customer support representative will guide them through the process. Once enrolled, business can continue registering their employees for courses as usual, but IL courses will appear at no cost, and applicable discounts will be applied to webinars and HOSD trainings. The duration of this process will vary based on demand. However, the process will be expedited for shops and businesses that have already provided the necessary technician, staff and Red Seal information.
This program is now available for all interested Canadian collision businesses. To participate and begin the setup process, contact I-CAR Canada today at info@i-car.ca.
