Ottawa, ON – March 27, 2018 – Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Cochrane as the incoming chair of the Young Executive Society (YES). The Committee acts as a voice and resource for young professionals in the aftermarket, providing networking and mentoring opportunities to enhance and develop skills that will allow employees to grow and prosper as leaders in the industry.
In 2005, Brad graduated from the Business Administration program at Brock University and began his career as the Marketing Coordinator for Gates Canada. He then transitioned into another role as an outside sales representative for Gates and NAPA Canada, serving stores and automotive service providers in Southern Ontario. In 2013, Brad accepted a position with the sales operations team at NAPA’s Cambridge office, and in early 2016, he was promoted to department manager.
As the YES chair, Brad will strive to continue the advancement of the Committee and positively impact the industry by providing recommendations and subject matter expertise.
“As vehicles continue to become more complex and new players emerge within the industry, we’re in for some exciting but also challenging times ahead,” said Brad. “Ensuring that we attract the next generation of skilled technicians and future leaders to the aftermarket is crucial to our success. I’m excited to chair the YES Committee and work closely with others who share a passion about the future of our industry.”
