AIA Canada gifts Skills Canada Champion Vyolaine Dujmovic with Platinum I-CAR® training program

Ottawa, ON - May 24 2017 – The Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada is proud to join other industry partners in supporting 2016 Skills Canada Champion (Autobody Repair) Vyolaine Dujmovic on her road to the 2017 WorldSkills Competition this coming October 14-17 in Abu Dhabi.

Ms. Dujmovic won her Canadian title at the 2016 Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) held in Moncton, New Brunswick. Initially encouraged by one of her teachers to participate, she is now part of a team of thirty-one members who are in preparation for the 44th WorldSkills Competition.

In light of her recent accomplishments and with the full support of her employer, Fix Auto Henri-Bourrassa, Ms. Dujmovic is going after another career goal, achieving I-CAR® Platinum Recognition status. Staff at AIA Canada wanted to help her reach her goal by providing Vyolaine with I-CAR® training free of charge.

“In recognition of her tremendous talent and her accomplishments at the Canadian level, we wanted to give Vyolaine an added edge over the competition in Abu Dhabi,” explains Andrew Shepherd, Executive Director of I-CAR® Canada. "The training she will receive through the I-CAR® program will not only help her during the WorldSkills Competition in October but will help her moving forward in her career.”

Best of luck Vyolaine!
