Larry Jefferies to be honoured with Prestigious AIA Distinguished Service Award

Larry Jefferies Services éminents de l’AIA AIA Distinguished Service AwardOttawa, April 27, 2016 On May 12th, AIA members will have the opportunity to honour industry leader Larry Jefferies, winner of this year’s prestigious AIA Distinguished Service Award.

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented at AIA’s Aftermarket Conference for Executives (ACE) being held at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, in Montreal, Quebec.

Larry Jefferies, co-founder of CARSTAR Canada, was in on the ground floor of the collision industry’s consolidation. As a consummate trailblazer, Larry is well-known in the aftermarket and collision industry for his leadership skills, vision and strategic foresight. His determination and a remarkable understanding of issues facing the collision industry and the actions required to ensure its continued growth have led the way as the collision industry has evolved.

Always a strong supporter of AIA Canada, Larry has served on the AIA PBE Council, Retailers Council and the AIA Collision Council. In 2004-2005, Larry was Chair of its Board of Directors.

Larry recently completed serving his second term as Chair of CCIF but remains active in other industry related activities including Skills Canada and I-CAR Canada. Larry is currently President of Jefferies Consulting, where he continues to work with CARSTAR Canada to provide strategic acquisition opportunities to franchise partners and industry-wide opportunities focused on creating positive change in the Canadian marketplace.

 About the Distinguished Service Award
The AIA Distinguished Service Award is presented in recognition of distinguished service and outstanding leadership given to the growth and development of Canada’s automotive aftermarket industry. It is the highest award presented by the Automotive Industries Association of Canada to an outstanding individual within the Association membership. Criteria for the award include outstanding leadership, community service, and personal contribution to the growth and progress of the aftermarket industry.
