The Quebec Division of AIA Canada, in collaboration with teachers and directors of vocational training centers offering auto mechanics and body shop programs, selected students who met criteria established by the Comité éducation travail en équipement motorisé du Montréal métropolitain (CÉTÉMM) to be eligible for a draw to receive an AIA High Fives for Kids Foundation scholarship. Usually, three students are drawn at random to receive a $500 scholarship during the Gala Méritas; however, the event was not held this year. Instead, a random draw was held from the applications received by e-mail. The three recipients are :
- Marc-Jebson Caraoa Balintec, auto mechanic at the ÉMÉMM
- Kevin Gilbert, car mechanic at the CFP of Williams Clay
- Morneau-Lussier, body shop, CFP Compétence-de-la-Rive-Sud
The members of the Quebec Division of AIA Canada would like to thank all the teachers and directors who participated. Congratulations to the three recipients.
